Shiny Unite manufactures silicone (SI) O-rings, widely used for sealing electronic products, auto parts, electrical appliances and machinery. Silicone O-rings are durable and heatproof, and are a common choice where a wide temperature range and good ozone resistance are required.
Material & Construction
Our silicone O-rings are moulded from silicone rubber and are available in a hardness range of 34 to 78 Shore A, with a service temperature range of -100°C to 250°C. Silicone offers excellent water and ozone resistance and good acid resistance. Special compounds can be supplied, including FDA, NSF and WRAS grades for food and potable-water applications.

Technical Considerations
Silicone has poor tear and oil resistance compared with nitrile or fluorocarbon elastomers. For oil-sealing applications, NBR or FKM O-rings may be more suitable.
